Quality Assurance Engineer

STAND 8 Technology Consulting provides end‑to‑end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and internationally. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Technology Digital Operations team, focusing on testing and validating digital applications to ensure high‑quality user experiences across web, mobile, and OTT platforms.

Pay Range

$60.00/hr – $70.00/hr (contract)

Responsibilities

• Design and review test cases based on US and international market requirements.
• Proactively expand test coverage with "out‑of‑the‑box" testing scenarios.
• Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing across OTT and digital devices.
• Conduct release regression validation for production deployments and app store submissions.
• Monitor and validate live product performance in production environments.
• Support end‑to‑end (E2E) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) from a user perspective.
• Support remote teams, triage issues, and determine priority of tasks.
• Manage defect creation, updates, and status throughout test execution.
• Report test status to Test Managers, Project Managers, and Release Managers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in QA processes and test management tools (Test Rails, QC, Xray, Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with website support and dynamic content testing.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC.
• Experience testing web, mobile, connected devices, and OTT applications.
• Knowledge of OTT platforms (tvOS, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, Xbox, PS4, etc.).
• Experience with REST API testing using Postman or SOAPUI.
• Experience validating video/media playback applications.
• Strong skills in planning QA/UAT and coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
• Understanding of networking, SSL, firewalls, CDN, and DRM.
• Experience with Charles Proxy, Splunk, or similar log‑analysis tools.
• Ability to learn and understand complex end‑to‑end system workflows.

Desired Qualifications

• Prior experience with desktop, mobile, connected device, or OTT development/support.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress).
• Experience maintaining automation frameworks.
• Understanding of DevOps concepts.
• Passion for digital media, streaming, and entertainment technology.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Experience with product support is a plus.
• Strong organization and multitasking skills.
