Job summary

Rectangle Health, a leading fintech service for medical practices, is seeking a QA Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated tests for UI and API layers. You will collaborate with product and engineering to ensure high quality, integrate tests into CI/CD, and advance QA best practices in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of QA automation experience, strong Playwright with JS/TS, API automation expertise, and familiarity with Git and GitHub Actions in Agile

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of QA automation experience.
• Proficiency in automated UI testing frameworks, preferably Playwright with JS/TypeScript.
• Strong hands-on experience with API automation.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions).
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Experience with AI coding assistants to accelerate test development and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing across functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end coverage.
• Test Planning & Strategy: Contribute to test planning, test reviews, and continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Requirement Clarification: Follow up with product and engineering to clarify requirements when tickets or acceptance details are incomplete.
• Defect Reporting: Execute and analyze automated test results and report defects with detailed documentation.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Documentation Ownership: Initiate test coverage, processes, and automation workflows.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate in sprint ceremonies and advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Primary Job Duties:

• Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing across functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end coverage.
• Test Planning & Strategy: Contribute to test planning, test reviews, and the continuous improvement of QA processes: helping decide what to test, not just how to implement it.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience in QA engineering with a focus on automation.
• Proficiency in automated UI testing frameworks, preferably Playwright with JS/TypeScript.
• Strong hands-on experience with API automation.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions).
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Experience working with AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) to accelerate test development and debugging.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the Payments domain.
• Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., K6).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).

Compensation & Benefits:

• $90,000 - $115,000 (commensurate with experience)
