Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with a strong background in manual testing and working knowledge of Linux environments. In this role, you will be responsible for validating the functionality, performance, and reliability of software products through structured and exploratory testing. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual test cases for new and existing features across web, API, and backend systems.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing to identify and document software issues.
• Reproduce and isolate bugs, log detailed defects, and track them through resolution.
• Work in Linux environments to verify application behavior, monitor logs, and execute commands or scripts for testing purposes.
• Collaborate with developers and QA peers to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Participate in requirement reviews, test planning sessions, and release readiness activities.
• Provide detailed and well-documented testing reports and support release validation efforts.
• Assist in continuous improvement of QA processes and contribute to test documentation and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in manual software testing across web applications.
• Proficiency in working within Linux/Unix environments (e.g., navigating file systems, checking logs, using command-line tools).
• Experience testing APIs, web applications, and backend services.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycles and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
