Job description

Location: Remote

Salary: $120–160k

Sabot Consulting is seeking a highly experienced and strategic QA Engagement Manager to lead and manage the Medicaid Quality Assurance Program. This role is responsible for ensuring that all QA teams adhere to standard processes and procedures, while fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability. The QA Engagement Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for the Department on financial and administrative matters and will oversee the delivery of high-quality QA services across a complex, multi-system IT environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the QA team and oversee accurate estimation and execution of QA tasks and work efforts
  • Manage acquisition, scheduling, and provisioning of QA resources
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Department for financial, administrative, and contract-related matters
  • Foster cooperative relationships among State and Contractor staff
  • Ensure consistent reporting of accomplishments, risks, issues, and action items across all QA teams
  • Enforce quality assurance policies, standard operating procedures, and governance requirements
  • Establish and communicate quality and reliability standards to meet delivery requirements
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and promote the use of quality measures
  • Review and act on client, customer, and user feedback to drive improvements
  • Recommend system and process enhancements to the Department
  • Ensure all QA teams meet service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Collect, analyze, and prepare reports for senior management and stakeholders
  • Promote information sharing among QA sub-teams to support system interoperability

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10 years of experience building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, including executive-level communication.
  • 5 years in a QA leadership or management role
  • 5 years managing QA teams of 20+ staff in a multi-system IT environment
  • 5 years managing large-scale programs and aligning QA efforts with business priorities
  • 5 years leading teams in functional end to end testing, including hands-on experience with test management and automation tools

Nice To Have:

  • 2 years of experience overseeing QA services for large Medicaid or healthcare systems
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI
  • 2 years of experience working with Federal, State, or Local Healthcare Agencies
