Job summary

Terra is a digital marketing and creative agency seeking a QA Developer to join a fast-paced team. You will test and build backend features, review AI-generated code, and work with AI developers to diagnose and fix issues across frontend and backend.

Strong JS knowledge and a comfort with AI tools are required. Located for permanent remote work with a Spain-based working hours alignment and a focus on collaboration, growth, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and professional English for interviews.
• About 1 year of web development or QA experience.
• Reading and writing JavaScript; comfortable with a modern framework (React or Vue).
• Know-how of HTML5/CSS3; detect layout, responsive and cross-browser issues.
• Understanding of back-end logic (PHP and/or Node).
• Experience testing REST or GraphQL endpoints.
• Experience in Git and Agile environments.
• Comfortable working with AI assistants and prompts.

Responsibilities

• Test and develop features with the Technology Lead, IA Devs and UX/UI Lead.
• Review AI-produced code for correctness and API usage.
• Collaborate with AI Developer to diagnose issues and plan fixes.
• Trace issues to root cause across front-end, back-end or prompts.
• Document cases that successfully break AI features.
• Monitor Web Speed Optimization after releases.
• Report to Project Manager and IA Developers; manage schedule to meet deadlines.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Developer to join our fast-paced and innovative digital marketing agency. As a key member of our dev team, you will work closely with our developer team to design, develop, and maintain backend systems that power the sites and applications of our clients.

Applicants must be fluent in Spanish and English (as interviews are in both languages).

What You'll Do

• Work closely with our Technology Lead, IA Developers and UX/UI Design Lead to test and develop features.

• Review code produced with AI assistance before it reaches a client: check it does what the ticket asked, follows our conventions, and doesn’t contain invented APIs or bugs that look plausible at a glance.

• Work with our AI Developer to figure out how to fix it: what’s actually wrong, what the fix should be, and whether it risks breaking something else.

• Trace it to its cause — front-end, back-end or prompt — rather than stopping at the symptom, and see the fix through.

• Try to break our AI features on purpose, and document every case that works.

• Monitor Web Speed Optimization efforts after each release.

• Proactively report to our internal Project Manager and IA Developers and manage your schedule to ensure all deadlines are met.

• We’re hiring someone who wants to build, not only to fix. As you get comfortable, you’ll take on development tasks alongside the AI Developer on both internal tools and client features.

Who You Are

• Located in Europe — this position requires you to work in accordance with our Spain office’s working hours (10am-6pm CET)

• Must be fluent in Spanish and professional, working English.

• Around 1 year of experience in web development or QA.

• Able to read and write JavaScript, and comfortable around a modern framework (React or Vue).

• Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, enough to spot layout, responsive and cross-browser issues.

• Understanding of back-end logic (PHP and/or Node) so you can follow a feature end to end.

• Experience testing REST or GraphQL endpoints.

• Experience working inside Git and in an Agile environment.

• Comfortable working with AI assistants as part of your workflow — writing good prompts, reviewing generated code critically, and knowing when not to trust the output.

• Any hands-on experience with LLMs, even personal projects.

• A keen eye for detail, interactivity and animation.

• A true team player who can work closely with others.
