To strengthen our team in San Diego , we are looking for a QA Compliance Associate II .

The QA Compliance Associate II will be responsible for managing internal / external audit programs, training, document review, and supporting a GMP Quality Management System to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. This role involves working closely with Wacker Biotech US Management and departmental staff to support the Quality Management System and may include QA operational functions as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all WBU policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Support investigations, deviations, and metrics collection for timely resolution of exceptions and risk management activities (e.g., FMEA).
• Assist with planning and conducting compliance audits, and follow up to ensure timely completion of action plans.
• Evaluate, analyze, and trend quality indicators; prepare reports on quality operations and metrics.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to ensure quality compliance.
• Develop and deliver QA training programs for departmental personnel.
• Support QA operations related to material release, data review, and batch record review.
• Support reviews of validation activities.

Job Qualifications

• BA / BS in a scientific discipline with 3+ years of experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals, or MS with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience in regulated industries and in Quality Assurance / compliance.
• Thorough knowledge of GMPs and compliance requirements.
• Working knowledge of FDA regulations.
• Ability to interpret compliance requirements and incorporate them into company systems and procedures.
• Self-directed with appropriate education and experience to make impactful decisions.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, basic Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Professional is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with document control systems and electronic document management systems.
• Experience facilitating audits and training processes.
• Technical writing and problem-solving skills.

The anticipated salary range in San Diego is $81,000 - $95,000, dependent on experience and qualifications. Wacker is a multi-state employer; salaries may vary by location.
