Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. seeks a Quality Control Analyst for the Rejection Control team. You will assess and disposition Engineering Reports, Change Requests and Change Notices to support Ship Certification.

The role requires interpreting technical dispositions, strong written/verbal communication, and independent decision-making. Experience with JCALS, EB7F/7G, Teamcenter, MRPII and MS Office is desirable. Weekend/milestone support may be required.

Qualifications

Job description

Candidate will serve as a Quality Control Analyst within the Rejection Control organization. Rejection Control’s main functions include assessment, assignment, tracking and disposition of Engineering Reports (ERs), Change Requests (CRs) and Change Notices (CNs) to support Ship Certification.
This position requires a working knowledge/understanding of technical dispositions and/or interpretation of technical data to correctly disposition the ER, CR, or CN. This position requires independent decision-making and good judgement skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
Rejection Control interfaces with many levels of management and functional organizations on a daily basis to resolve issues. Analysts are required to use and maintain several electronic systems such as Microsoft Office, JCALS, EB7F/7G, EWP, Teamcenter, and MRPII.
This position primarily supports CLB/UK liabilities. This position requires flexible work schedules to support weekends, major milestones, and key events.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1-5 Years of experience within the QA organization.

Preferred

• Associates degree or higher
• Shipyard experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EB7F/7G, Teamcenter and JCALS is desirable

• Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills is required
• Candidate should be technically minded with a solid understanding of the submarine construction process
• High attention to detail and ability to demonstrate previous experience in performing at a high quality level
• Applicant must be a self-motivator with a strong awareness of procedural compliance and data integrity
