Job summary

Sika in the United States is seeking a QA professional focused on product maintenance and transfer of new products into production. You will conduct pilot runs, apply DOE/DFMEA methods, and lead IATF-related activities within the R&D team to ensure quality and compliance.

The role requires 2+ years in automotive plastics, strong communication, and solid reporting skills, with proficiency in DOE and quality programs. A strong alignment with Sika's safety and sustainability values is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in thermoplastics/thermosets in automotive OEM market.
• Strong oral communication and technical writing skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalent; good computer skills.
• Experience with DOE, Design FMEA and other quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Define new product QA requirements to ensure product quality and performance.
• Transfer new products/technologies to production.
• Supervise pilot runs.
• Use DOE and DFMEA to facilitate transfer of new products into production.
• Manage product maintenance processes independently.
• Attend technical presentations from raw material suppliers.
• Obtain and interpret customer product specifications and test methods.
• Gain material approvals from customer specifications testing.
• Write technical reports independently.
• Lead IATF 16949 Audit for the R&D team.
• Understand equipment manuals and operate equipment to its capabilities.
