  1. Sr. Level Automation QA, specifically within Selenium
  2. Ability to program within Java

The most important thing for this role is for this person to understand core automation principles and the language. They will teach these people the domain. Having that initial knowledge allows the right consultants to ask better questions, which is what they are looking for. The people who fill these roles are going to be really strong automation testers that are able to develop within Java.

Job Description

Paul is in charge of the Deployment/Development Testing, C#, .NET and Selenium work and is the Development team for Datascope Select Team, located within the Finance and Risk unit of Thomson Reuters. Datascope Select is a file delivery system, which is unique. It is a machine that releases data to the stock market.

They are moving away from “conventional QA” and more of a waterfall methodology, and have adopted more of a modern S.D.E.T. approach to development and test. The Manager believes that when the Developers test their software, that’s when they get it right. He said that TDD goes wrong when the Developers do not think like testers.
