Job summary

Pacer Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to support the CIAM platform within Information Security & QA. You will design and execute test strategies for APIs, web and mobile authentication workflows, and drive automation using Java and Selenium.

This contract role focuses on validating login security, MFA, biometric authentication, and integration with security vendors, reporting to the Director of Security Engineering.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with CIAM, MFA, and OAuth 2.0 security testing.
• Strong Java & Selenium WebDriver automation skills.
• Proficiency in API testing using REST, Postman, and Swagger.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test strategies for APIs, web apps, and mobile authentication workflows; automate validations.
• Collaborate with BA/Dev/PO/Security vendors to define requirements and create test cases.
• Perform REST API testing with Postman/Swagger, validating authentication endpoints and integration workflows.
• Execute mobile biometric testing (Fingerprint, Face ID) across devices with automation.
• Maintain Java/Selenium test frameworks; run regression/functional tests and support modernization.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to support the evolution of the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platform within the Information Security & Quality Assurance department, reporting directly to the Director of Security Engineering. The successful candidate will drive technical quality assurance to solve complex authentication and security challenges by testing and validating login security, MFA solutions, biometric authentication, risk evaluation services, and integrations with multiple security vendors.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for APIs, web applications, and mobile authentication workflows to ensure high-quality customer login experiences. | Automate validations for authentication, authorization, login security, and token management.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Development Teams, Product Owners, and Security Vendors to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and create detailed test cases.
• Perform rigorous REST API testing using Postman and Swagger, validating authentication endpoints, error codes, requests, responses, and integration workflows.
• Execute mobile authentication and biometric testing (Fingerprint, Face ID) across supported devices while leveraging automation frameworks.
• Maintain robust test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium, execute regression and functional testing suites, and support ongoing modernization efforts within the authentication ecosystem.
