Job summary

Concept Solutions, LLC is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to support a DoW modernization program. The role focuses on automated regression testing for web applications and API contracts, integrating tests into CI pipelines and preserving legacy behavior during modernization.

You will collaborate with development and integration teams, document results, and contribute to release readiness. Remote work is offered with US travel up to 10% and a requirement for US citizenship and an active Secret

Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to support a mission-critical application modernization program for a Department of War (DoW) customer.

This initiative is designed to simplify access across multiple production applications by creating a unified platform with single sign-on, a common user experience, and a standardized approach to application integration.

The QA Automation Engineer will play an important role in ensuring application stability, reliability, and seamless integration as existing systems are sustained and modernized.

• Test Automation & Quality Assurance
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated regression test suites for existing production web applications.
• Build and maintain contract tests for interfaces and APIs supporting the shared application platform.
• Integrate automated regression and contract testing into Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines to validate changes throughout development.
• Design and execute tests that account for legacy application behavior, ensuring functionality is preserved during modernization.
• Produce and document regression and integration test results to support software releases and phase-exit reviews.
• Collaborate with development and integration teams to identify defects, validate fixes, and maintain application quality.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in test automation for web applications and APIs.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated regression test suites.
• Experience with API contract testing.
• Ability to design and execute tests around legacy application behavior.
• Experience incorporating automated testing into CI workflows.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Playwright or Cypress for automated testing.
• Familiarity with Pact for contract testing.
• Experience with Java and JavaScript testing frameworks.

Work Location and Schedule

• Location: Remote
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with core hours of 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Eastern.
• Development Cycle: Two-week sprints with a customer demonstration each sprint.
• Travel: 0–10%, within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
• Security Requirement: U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance for the DoW customer. An active Secret clearance
• Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 annually, depending on experience.
