Job summary

Robotics Technologies LLC in San Jose is seeking an experienced SDET/Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for web, mobile, API, and backend applications.

You will develop API automation tests with REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps). Strong knowledge of REST, JSON/XML, SQL, and SDLC/Agile is required.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.
• Create automated tests for web, mobile, API, and backend applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and execute API automation tests using tools such as REST Assured, Postman, or similar technologies.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Analyze test failures, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Participate in requirements analysis and provide input on testability and quality considerations.
• Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks.
• Perform database validation and backend testing using SQL.
• Conduct performance, reliability, and scalability testing where required.
• Maintain test data, test environments, and automation documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Mentor QA engineers and contribute to automation and testing best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall software quality.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience as an SDET, Automation Engineer, or Software Test Engineer.
• Hands‑on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
• Experience with API testing and automation.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with SQL and database testing.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Git and source‑control systems.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
