Job summary

Artifintech is seeking an experienced SDET/Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile, API, and backend applications in a fast-paced environment.

You will develop API automation tests, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, perform database validation with SQL, and mentor QA engineers while contributing to testing strategy and quality across the product suite.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as an SDET, Automation Engineer, or Software Test Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.
• Create automated tests for web, mobile, API, and backend applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and execute API automation tests using REST-assured, Postman, or similar tools.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Analyze test failures, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Mentor QA engineers and contribute to automation best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.
• Create automated tests for web, mobile, API, and backend applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and execute API automation tests using tools such as REST Assured, Postman, or similar technologies.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Analyze test failures, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Participate in requirements analysis and provide input on testability and quality considerations.
• Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks.
• Perform database validation and backend testing using SQL.
• Conduct performance, reliability, and scalability testing where required.
• Maintain test data, test environments, and automation documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Mentor QA engineers and contribute to automation and testing best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall software quality.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience as an SDET, Automation Engineer, or Software Test Engineer.
• Hands‑on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
• Experience with API testing and automation.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with SQL and database testing.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Git and source‑control systems.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
