Job summary

Ampcus Inc in Alpharetta, GA seeks an experienced Automation Engineer focused on Playwright with Java to design scalable test frameworks and ensure quality across web applications.

You will create and maintain automated tests for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios, integrate them into CI/CD, and mentor junior engineers. Strong Java and Playwright expertise, API testing, and teamwork with developers and product owners are essential to drive quality throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java programming.
  • Extensive experience in test automation using Playwright with Java.
  • Experience in designing and developing automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test lifecycle, and quality assurance principles.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Strong knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Develop reusable automation components and utilities to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless automated execution.
  • Perform API testing and validation using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Review application requirements and technical specifications to identify test scenarios and automation opportunities.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to drive issue resolution.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce automation best practices, coding standards, and quality processes.
  • Monitor automation execution, generate test reports, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior automation engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging automation technologies, testing trends, and industry best practices.
