Job summary

University of Miami’s UHealth Neurology department seeks a Full Time Quality Assurance Auditor to conduct routine and focused audits of human subject research protocols, ensuring compliance with federal and local regulations and SOPs. The role advises officials on deficiencies and implements corrective actions, with follow-up to ensure action completion.

The position supports Brain Endowment Bank regulatory compliance, updates Quality Management Plans and SOPs, and conducts quarterly internal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations.
• Experience with quality assurance and research compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Remains in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and conducts inquiries of laboratory and research protocols.
• Prepares reports of investigations and inquiries for internal or external use.
• Assists with the preparation of educational programs and presents them to groups within the university’s research community.
• Monitors changes in regulations and recommends updates to policies and procedures.
• Maintains QA databases and audit files (electronic and paper).
• Oversees QA activities and reports audit results to key stakeholders.
