Actalent is hiring a QA Auditor in Syracuse, NY to perform in-house line audits of pharmaceutical filling and packaging operations. The role reviews manufacturing activities and documentation for SOP adherence and regulatory compliance while performing line clearances and in-process inspections.
The ideal candidate has 1–4 years of QA experience in an FDA-regulated setting, with an associates degree in science.
The QA Auditor performs in-house line audits of pharmaceutical filling and packaging operations to ensure products and processes comply with established procedures and regulatory standards. This role reviews manufacturing activities and documentation for adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), conducts inspections at multiple stages of production, and manages batch records and materials release. Onsite training is provided, and the position is ideal for motivated self-starters with a strong interest in quality assurance and contemporary cGMP practices.
This role is based in a clean room, manufacturing, and laboratory environment focused on pharmaceutical filling and packaging operations. The typical first-shift schedule consists of four 10-hour days, with standard hours from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Availability for various days of the week and the ability to work a 5-day schedule when required is expected. Overtime rates apply to hours worked over 40 per week. Alternative work hours or schedules may be required at the discretion of management to support production and quality needs. Work is performed around manufacturing equipment, inspection instruments such as micrometers and calipers, charts, gauges, and light inspection units, with an emphasis on cleanliness, precision, and adherence to quality and documentation standards.

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $52000.00/yr.
