Job summary

Schuman Cheese in Elgin, IL is seeking a QA Associate - Technical & Regulatory to support QA programs, regulatory compliance, and technical documentation across products and processes. You will help maintain product specifications, manage documentation, and support audits and regulatory submissions, while ensuring FDA/USDA, HACCP, GMP compliance and data integrity across systems.

This is a full-time role with routine hours, requiring strong attention to detail and collaboration with R&D,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in QA, regulatory, or technical roles in manufacturing or food production.
• Experience with FDA/USDA regulations, HACCP, GMP, or FSMA preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of quality systems and food safety standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; QA/regulatory systems experience helpful.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support QA programs and procedures.
• Monitor product quality and compliance with standards.
• Review batch records and quality data for accuracy.
• Investigate deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain product specifications, formulas, and technical docs.
• Manage document control and SOPs.
• Support audits, regulatory submissions, and certifications.
• Coordinate documentation with internal departments and external stakeholders.
