Job summary

Stone Search is seeking a qualified QA Analyst to translate complex requirements into comprehensive testing plans for enterprise deployments. You will perform end-to-end testing of installations, upgrades, and integrations across Windows environments and virtual desktops.

You will validate packaging (MSI/MSIX/IntuneWin32), collaborate with Desktop Engineering, and ensure data integrity through SQL validation and log analysis. Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and defect management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in application analysis, software quality assurance, application testing, application packaging validation, deployment testing, or application support.
• Minimum of three (3) years of application QA/testing or application analyst experience.
• Knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies, testing principles, release validation, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute installation, upgrade, compatibility, functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance test cases.
• Proficiency with defect-tracking and application lifecycle-management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or equivalent platforms.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into testing strategies, plans, cases, and acceptance criteria for deployments, upgrades, and integrations.
• Perform installation, upgrade, compatibility, functional, regression, integration, smoke, and UAT testing for enterprise applications and system integrations.
• Validate application packages (MSI, MSIX, EXE, IntuneWin32) before release and confirm silent installation/uninstallation, configs, licensing, and defaults.
• Test installations/upgrades/removals across OS images, hardware models, and VDI to ensure compatibility and consistent end-user experience.
• Validate compatibility with Windows updates, browser, and Microsoft 365; participate in pilot deployment testing with Desktop Engineering.
