Job summary

Aero-Flite Inc. is hiring an Air Tanker Pilot for the Q400 to support wildfire suppression missions from Spokane, WA. You will fly in the right seat initially and transition to the left seat as you gain flight-hour experience and fire operations proficiency.

Responsibilities include operating the aircraft safely, completing pre-flight planning, and coordinating with the PIC, ATC, and fire resources. Extensive travel within CONUS and Alaska is expected.

Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Pilot certificate with MEL; ATP preferred.
• 3,000 hours in airplanes.
• 1,000 hours PIC;
• 100 hours PIC multiengine;
• 100 hours PIC multi-crew;
• 75 hours actual or simulated instrument flight.

Responsibilities

• Make drops on wildfire suppression missions and ensure safety of aircraft and crew.
• Support PIC and Chief Pilot; follow SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Perform pre-flight planning, loading, and performance calculations accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of aircraft systems and flight documentation; report discrepancies.
• Provide timely information to PIC, ATC, and firefighting resources.
• Adhere to all aircraft limits; promote Aero-Flite’s mission and values.
