Job summary

Aero-Flite, Inc. seeks a Q400 Firefighting Pilot to operate in wildfire suppression missions from Washington state. You will fly the Q400 in support of aerial retardant drops, ensuring safety of crew and aircraft while adhering to procedures and mission goals.

Eligible candidates possess a Commercial MEL-capable certificate with multi-engine experience, US work authorization, and substantial PIC time. Expect extensive travel within CONUS and Alaska; competitive compensation and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Aeronautical knowledge of off-airport, IFR, and multi-crew operations.
• Expert knowledge of FAA regulations and procedures.
• Expert knowledge of aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team player under the direction of the Pilot in Command.
• Conduct flight operations in a safe, standardized, and professional manner.
• Operate in accordance with company SOPs and regulations.
• Support the PIC for compliance and safety.
• Ensure accurate pre-flight planning and performance calculations.
• Verify airworthiness and report concerns to the PIC.
• Maintain knowledge of aircraft and pilot documents.
• Provide timely information to PIC, ATC, and fire resources.
• Monitor aircraft and crew performance.
• Adhere to aircraft limitations and care for equipment.
