Job summary

Triple Crown is seeking a Manufacturing Test Automation Engineer to develop software and automation solutions for embedded hardware manufacturing test systems in our Redmond, WA facility. You will create reliable test code and automate control and validation of hardware systems, leveraging Python, C, and NI TestStand.

The role emphasizes collaboration with hardware and test engineers to meet high-priority factory deliverables, maintain documentation, and improve test reliability and data

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming experience, particularly for test automation or hardware control.
• Experience developing automated test software for embedded hardware systems.
• Proficiency with C in a hardware, embedded, or test environment.
• Experience with NI TestStand or a comparable test executive platform.
• Strong understanding of hardware/software integration.
• Experience working with manufacturing test equipment, instrumentation, and automated test systems.
• Ability to read hardware documentation, schematics, interface specifications, and test requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software.
• Experience collaborating with hardware engineering and test engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop system-level automation software for manufacturing test systems.
• Write and maintain automated test code using Python, C, and NI TestStand.
• Develop software that controls, communicates with, and validates embedded hardware.
• Support the hardware and software development of manufacturing test equipment.
• Partner with hardware engineers and hardware test engineers to define test requirements and deliver automation solutions.
• Assist with hardware component and instrumentation selection for automated test systems.
• Troubleshoot issues across software, hardware, test equipment, and system interfaces.
• Improve test reliability, repeatability, efficiency, and data collection.
• Support high-priority manufacturing deliverables with significant factory impact.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, test procedures, and automation requirements.
• Ensure test solutions meet applicable reliability, quality, and regulatory requirements.
