Job summary

Fintal Partners in Chicago, IL is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support and optimize the infrastructure powering its low-latency trading platforms. You will build, automate, and maintain Linux production environments for reliability and peak performance.

You will develop automation tools in Python, monitor and troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with developers on deployment, observability, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Excellent Python programming skills focused on automation.
• Solid networking fundamentals and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with high-availability, distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, automate, and maintain highly available Linux-based production environments.
• Develop automation tools and operational workflows using Python.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across mission-critical trading infrastructure.
• Improve system reliability, scalability, and performance through automation.
• Work closely with developers on deployment, observability, and incident response.
• Support networking infrastructure, including DNS, latency, and connectivity issues.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for production support.
