Job summary

A leading space research center in Greenbelt, MD seeks a Scientific Software Developer for a full-time on-site position. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining services for the Virtual Solar Observatory (VSO), improving existing software, and creating automated monitoring tools. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering and significant experience in Python web development. US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required, along with the capacity to maintain a Tier 1 Background Investigation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years relevant work experience.
• Experience in Python web software development.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 Background Investigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain VSO services.
• Improve and implement unit tests for VSO code.
• Create automated process monitoring tools.
