Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Python Software Engineer for client delivery. This 12-month+ contract role requires frequent travel up to 80% to client sites across the US. W-2 employment includes a comprehensive benefits package and per‑diem travel support.

Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and deploying production-grade Python applications, building APIs, data pipelines, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams on architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Python development and production deployment experience.
• Experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Django or Flask, MySQL or PostgreSQL, and data-pipeline frameworks such as Kedro.
• Understanding of APIs, automated testing, CI/CD, software design, and cloud deployment practices.
• Strong client-facing communication, analytical, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% and support project schedules averaging approximately 60 hours per week.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business requirements and client challenges into scalable engineering solutions.
• Build and support APIs, data pipelines, cloud applications, and production deployments.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and client teams on architecture and technical decisions.
• Support client engagements requiring frequent travel, changing priorities, and extended project schedules.
