Job summary

Saige Partners in San Jose, CA seeks a Python Software Engineer to build production-grade applications powered by agentic AI. You will focus on Python development, API integration, and integrating LLM capabilities into real-world software.

Requires strong Python skills, REST API experience, and hands-on work with LLM APIs. This is a W2 contract based role onsite in San Jose, with a 8 am–5 pm PST schedule and competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• BS or equivalent practical experience in software engineering.
• 0–2 years of software engineering experience, including internships or projects.
• Strong Python skills with clean coding practices and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python applications for production environments.
• Design, build, and integrate REST APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Integrate LLM and AI capabilities into software products.
• Work with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Develop agentic AI workflows including tool calling and prompt chaining.
• Implement authentication, pagination, error handling, and API best practices.
• Write unit tests and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy features.
