Job summary

Old Mission, a global proprietary trading firm with offices in Chicago, New York, and London, seeks a Software Engineer specializing in Python. You will own and advance cutting‑edge trading systems and mission‑critical applications, working closely with quants, traders, and research teams to improve adaptability and scalability.

You will leverage a strong Python background on Linux, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to innovative trading applications in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related Engineering/Science discipline
• A minimum of 2 years of professional Python experience in a production environment
• High proficiency in Python on Linux Platforms
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• A collaborative team player with a knack for owning and driving exciting projects
• Thrives in a fast‑paced work environment, showcasing effective problem‑solving abilities

About The Position

Base Salary Range

$150,000 - $225,000 - Salaries are based on numerous factors such as skills, experience, and education. Our compensation package also includes a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits program for full‑time employees.
