Job summary

iCapital seeks an Associate Python Developer to join the Core Operations Technology team in Stamford, CT. This role focuses on building scalable, high-performance Python applications and collaborating with senior developers across cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions.

You will work with REST APIs, data processing pipelines, and serverless components on AWS, write unit tests, and follow CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
• 1–2 years of Python development experience, including Python, web scraping tools (Playwright, Selenium), REST APIs, JSON, and Git
• Working knowledge of SQL and databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Linux and Unix environments, and web frameworks such as Flask or Django
• Experience with AWS services, including Lambda, S3, and serverless application development; familiar with Azure or GCP is a plus
• Exposure to testing frameworks such as pytest and unittest, Docker, front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and Agile methodologies

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and scripts.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Debug and resolve issues in existing code.
• Collaborate with team members on code reviews, design discussions, and agile development processes.
• Participate in the development of REST APIs, web services, and data processing pipelines.
• Assist in writing unit tests and automated test cases to ensure quality and performance.
• Support the integration of third-party libraries and APIs.
• Maintain version control using Git and follow CI/CD practices.
• Work with Lambda functions for serverless computing tasks.
• Manage and interact with AWS S3 buckets for file storage and retrieval.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute ideas for improvements.
