iCapital Network in the United States is seeking an enthusiastic Python Developer to join our growing team. The role focuses on building scalable, high-performance applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will develop Python-based applications, REST APIs, and data processing pipelines, with exposure to AWS services like Lambda and S3, and modern web scraping tools. The position offers hybrid work with four days in office and one remote day (Friday).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• +5 years of Python development experience.
• Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, S3) and Linux/Unix environments.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Python Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in Python programming and a passion for building scalable, high-performance applications. You will collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and scripts.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Debug and resolve issues in existing code.
• Collaborate with team members on code reviews, design discussions, and agile development processes.
• Participate in the development of REST APIs, web services, and data processing pipelines.
• Assist in writing unit tests and automated test cases to ensure quality and performance.
• Support the integration of third-party libraries and APIs.
• Maintain version control using Git and follow CI/CD practices.
• Work with Lambda functions for serverless computing tasks.
• Manage and interact with AWS S3 buckets for file storage and retrieval.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute ideas for improvements.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: +5 years of Python development experience.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Proficiency in web scraping tools (e,g, Playwright, Selenium)
• Familiarity with web frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
• Familiarity with AWS services, especially Lambda functions and S3 buckets.
• Understanding of Lambda functions for serverless applications.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
