Job description

Senior Python Developer – AI Development Platform to help design, develop, and maintain a firmwide Artificial Intelligence (AI) Development Platform. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and reusable platform capabilities that enable enterprise-wide adoption of AI and Generative AI technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong Python development expertise, experience building production-grade applications and distributed systems, and a solid understanding of software engineering principles, cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of overall software engineering and development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience building and maintaining production-grade applications or libraries.
• Strong experience with Python, type annotations, automated testing, and static analysis.
• Production development experience with a statically typed language such as Java or C#.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, modular architecture, and dependency management.
• Experience with Dependency Injection (DI) and Inversion of Control (IoC).
• Hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), unit testing, and integration testing.
• Experience designing and developing APIs and SDKs.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes workload development, management, and deployment.
• Experience with multiprocessing, multithreading, asynchronous I/O, and performance profiling.
• Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, GitOps, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0 authentication and authorization.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, and Cortex.
• Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and public/private cloud environments.
• Experience with SQL databases, Redis, and Kafka.
• Strong understanding of AI Agents, Agentic Orchestration, and Multi-Agent Workflow Automation.
• Hands-on experience with Agent Builder frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and Microsoft Agent Framework.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
