Job summary

Off Duty Management in Houston, TX is seeking a Python / Django Software Developer to join our core product team. The role focuses on building and integrating backend services and APIs within our mission-critical software stack.

Based in Katy, TX, or remote for those outside the greater Houston area, the ideal candidate has strong Django/Python skills and 5+ years of experience, with experience in agile environments and production endpoints maintenance.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of Django, Python, and API development and consumption in a large scale environment.
• Software Development Lifecycle experience in an agile environment that supports development, testing, integration, and maintenance of integrations for large scale enterprises or commercial products.
• Interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work in an agile global team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop synchronous and asynchronous messaging architectures.
• Coordinate activities with other developers to ensure integration projects are completed on time.
• Formulate strategies and design architectures for system integrations.
• Ensure best practices in integration processes are employed in designing, implementing, and testing integrations.
• Maintain integrity and smooth functioning of the company’s integration architecture and critical production endpoints.
• Analyze and improve current system integrations; identify, debug, and correct system errors or architecture issues.
• Support software development activities to maintain a mission-critical software product.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members to define and implement solutions.
