AETHER BIOMEDICAL is seeking a Python Developer with Agent Registry Integration to build and maintain backend services for agent and tool registration, metadata management, and governance. You will collaborate with platform engineers, architects, and product stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure registry solutions.

You will design data models and APIs, implement authentication with JWT/OAuth, and contribute to API specifications and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Python backend development experience.
• Experience with FastAPI or Flask and REST APIs.
• Experience with JWT or OAuth authentication and API security.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL data stores.

Responsibilities

Position overview

We are looking for a Python Developer with Agent Registry Integration to support the development and integration of an enterprise AI registry platform. In this role, you will build and maintain backend services that enable agent and tool registration, metadata management, discovery capabilities, and governance workflows. You will work closely with platform engineers, architects, and product stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure registry solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and APIs to support agent and tool registration workflows
• Implement integrations with AWS AgentCore Registry and related metadata APIs
• Design and maintain registry and catalog data models for agents, tools, and lifecycle management
• Build CRUD APIs for creating, updating, retrieving, listing, and deleting registry records
• Implement input validation, schema enforcement, and API security controls
• Develop authentication and authorization mechanisms using JWT or OAuth based solutions
• Collaborate with platform and architecture teams to align registry solutions with enterprise standards
• Support metadata governance, lifecycle management, and discovery capabilities
• Contribute to technical documentation and API specifications
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Python backend development
• Hands on experience with AWS AgentCore Registry or a comparable agent, service catalog, API registry, or discovery platform
• Experience developing REST APIs with validation, schema enforcement, and secure design principles
• Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or equivalent
• Experience designing data models for registry, catalog, metadata management, or discovery systems
• Experience implementing JWT or OAuth based API authentication
• Understanding of API lifecycle management and governance concepts
• Experience working with relational or NoSQL data stores
• Experience collaborating within agile software development teams

Nice to have

• Experience authoring MCP server metadata schemas aligned with canonical contract standards
• Experience migrating records from legacy, manual, or tactical repositories into governed platforms
• Experience implementing API lifecycle management patterns including draft, active, deprecated, and retired states
• Experience with OpenAPI specifications and metadata driven platforms
• Experience with enterprise governance and approval workflows
• Knowledge of AI agent ecosystems and service discovery architectures
• Experience working with AWS cloud services and platform integration solutions
