Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Software Developer / Python Developer for a well-known Financial Services company. This contract role is on a hybrid schedule (3 days on-site) across multiple U.S. locations including Minneapolis, MN, with W2 eligibility.

You will design, build, test, and maintain applications, APIs, and data-driven tools, primarily in Python. Candidates with other strong languages will be considered, provided they have delivered real software solutions and data workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on application/software development experience, including designing, coding, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and maintaining software.
• Proven experience building applications, backend services, APIs, automation tools, or other software solutions.
• Strong programming fundamentals with the ability to independently design and develop technical solutions.
• Python development strongly preferred, although strong developers with experience in other programming languages will be considered.
• Experience working with data as part of application development.
• Experience working with large datasets and building solutions that support data extraction, processing, transformation, or integration.
• Experience with data orchestration or developing workflows that move, organize, or process data across systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and understand how different application components and systems interact.

Outstanding contract opportunity! A well-known Financial Services Company is looking for a Software Developer / Python Developer in Charlotte, NC, Irving, TX, Chandler, AZ, Minneapolis, MN, or Raleigh, NC. W2 only (hybrid, 3 days on-site).

The team is looking for a strong, hands-on Software Developer with experience designing, building, troubleshooting, and maintaining applications. Python is the preferred language, but candidates with strong development experience in other programming languages will also be considered. The key is finding someone who has built actual applications, services, APIs, or tools rather than someone whose background is primarily DevOps, infrastructure management, or deployment.

Contract Duration: 12+ Months with possible extensions and/or conversion to full-time
