Overview
  • ·The candidateselected for this position will work in the IT Derivatives/FixedIncome team, focusing on the design and implementation of Pythonsolutions for Front Office applications. These applications will utilize vendorsoftware, including PyXLL, QuestDB, ArconTech, and Databricks.
  • ·Additionally, therole includes supporting existing applications to assist with the dailyoperations of the Front Office Trading Desk. This involvestroubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and implementing new featuresthat align with business strategies.
  • ·Active collaborationwith quantitative analysts and traders is essential to ensure the applicationsmeet their needs and enhance their productivity.
Requirements
Duties
  • · Design,build, and configure Python applications according to business process and application requirements. This involves working closely with stakeholders togather and analyze requirements.
  • · Thecandidate will be expected to ensure the code is efficient, maintainable, andadheres to best practices.
  • · Collaboratewith multiple business teams, such as trading and quantitative analysts, tounderstand their workflows, challenges, and requirements.
  • · Regularmeetings, feedback sessions, and iterative development cycles will be part ofthis collaborative effort.
  • · Provide workestimates as required, including time, resources, and potential risks.
  • · Thecandidate will be responsible for communicating these estimates to projectmanagers and adjusting them as necessary throughout the development lifecycle.
  • · Developcoding architecture for new applications and features. This task includesselecting appropriate design patterns, writing modular and reusable code, anddocumenting the architecture for future reference.
  • · Maintain andenhance code quality using static and dynamic code analyses, securityvulnerability scans, code coverage, and CI/CD pipeline gating. Regular codereviews, automated testing, and continuous integration practices will beintegral to maintaining high code quality standards.
  • · Participatein all phases of the software delivery lifecycle, from analysis throughsupport. This means engaging in initial requirement gathering and analysis,contributing to design and development, performing testing and qualityassurance, and providing post-deployment support.
Required Skills
  • · Experiencewith Python environment installation in Windows and Linux
Preferred Skills
  • · REST API(including Enterprise Authentication and Authentication)
  • · MS SQLServer and/or Sybase experience
  • · Experiencewith supporting trading desks
Education
  • · Bachelor’sdegree in mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
