Job summary

System Soft Technologies is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs. This role focuses on scalable Python applications, modern web frameworks, and cloud deployments, within an Agile environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize data pipelines, and ensure high-quality software through testing and code reviews. This is a W2 contract in the United States, offering strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on Python.
• Proficiency in core Python concepts, including asynchronous programming and OOP.
• Hands-on experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI for backend development.
• Strong relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
• Experience deploying on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with frontend basics (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a W-2 basis; H-1B transfers not supported.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Senior Python Developer to join our dynamic team on a W2 contract basis. This role is ideal for professionals with over 10 years of experience in software development, specializing in Python. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and APIs that support our innovative applications. Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on Python programming.


• Proficiency in core Python concepts, including asynchronous programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).


• Hands-on experience with modern backend frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.


• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis), with the ability to optimize queries and data pipelines.


• Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, utilizing containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.


• Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) is a plus.


• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a W2 basis; H-1B transfers are not supported for this role.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely delivery of features.


• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural discussions to promote best practices and continuous improvement.


• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using tools such as PyTest or Unittest to ensure code quality and reliability.
