A leading consultancy firm in Houston, TX is seeking a talented Python Data Engineer to expand data assets in support of their analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of enterprise-level Python experience, proficiency in data engineering, and strong communication skills. This full-time role requires onsite presence 5x a week, offering excellent incentives including bonuses and upward mobility in a rapidly growing company.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise-level coding experience with Python.
• Experience scraping websites with Requests, Beautiful Soup, Selenium.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and SOA architectures.

Responsibilities

• Write modular, reusable components to liaise between external sources of data and internal tools.
• Work with business sponsors to drive out requirements for data ingestion and access.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the Python codebase, adhering to existing designs.

Skills

Enterprise-level coding experience with Python

Data Engineering and building data pipelines

Web scraping with Requests, Beautiful Soup, Selenium

Familiarity with Pandas and NumPy packages

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Education

Computer Science, MIS or related degree

Tools

Oracle / PL SQL development
