Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions is seeking a Backend Software Engineer (Python) in Annapolis Junction, MD to support backend work for the UI team. The role requires strong Python expertise and readiness to transition to cloud capabilities. The position is full-time with an active TS/SCI w/Polygraph clearance required.

Telework is not offered; on-site work at Annapolis Junction. The salary range is $175,000 to $185,000 per year, with a comprehensive benefits package including 25 days of PTO, 11 paid

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience as a software engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or 4 additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
• Active TS/SCI w/Polygraph clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide backend support to the UI team.
• Demonstrate solid Python experience and backend development skills.
• Assist with the transition to cloud capability.
