Job summary

Cloud Hybrid Technologies, LLC is seeking a Python Backend Developer for a 6-month hybrid onsite engagement in Chicago, IL. You will design and implement backend services, manage API integrations, and automate infrastructure tasks using Terraform on Azure.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and Azure cloud services, along with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines to drive reliable deployment and testing.

Qualifications

• Experience with API concepts (REST, SOAP, GraphQL).
• Hands-on Terraform module development.
• Hands-on Azure provisioning and cloud services.
• Experience with Azure API Management and Azure services.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation.
• Familiarity with Azure SDKs and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Understand API concepts such as REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.
• Understand API security (OAuth 2.0, JWT token validation).
• Author, maintain, and refactor Terraform modules (Infrastructure as Code).
• Understand Azure resource provisioning and cloud services; hands-on experience with Azure.
• Experience with Azure API Management, Application Gateway (including WAF), Azure Front Door, Key Vault, and monitoring solutions.
• Understand networking concepts: VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, private endpoints.
• Proficient in GitHub Actions (workflow authoring, secrets management, environment setup).
• Experience integrating Terraform deployments into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with automated testing in pipelines.
• Write and maintain Python scripts for automation.
• Experience with Azure SDKs and REST APIs for resource management.
