Job summary

Talemexa is seeking a Python Developer to build APIs, backend services, and data-driven features for its hiring products. You will develop scalable applications using Python frameworks such as Django or FastAPI, design efficient database structures, and integrate external services.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Python development, PostgreSQL experience, and strong REST API skills. You will write automated tests, perform code reviews, use Git, and work with Celery or Redis for background

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Python programming and backend development.
• Hands-on experience with Django or FastAPI.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Practical experience with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Git and code review workflows.
• Experience writing automated tests and debugging backend issues.
• Understanding of asynchronous processing and background jobs.
• Familiarity with Celery or Redis is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Python.
• Build web applications and APIs using Django, FastAPI, or other Python frameworks.
• Design and maintain database schemas for reliable data storage and retrieval.
• Work with PostgreSQL to optimize queries and relationships.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for internal/external use.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services into hiring products.
• Write automated unit and integration tests.

• Build, run, and monitor background jobs with asynchronous processing.
