Job summary

NTT DATA Services in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Python Backend Developer to build scalable backend applications and APIs for enterprise solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure software, integrate enterprise systems, and contribute throughout the software lifecycle.

The role involves designing and maintaining RESTful APIs, working with databases, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid/onsite environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Python development experience.
• 2+ years designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB).
• Experience with Git for version control.
• Strong OOP, data structures, algorithms and design principles.
• Experience with Python frameworks (Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications, APIs, and automation using Python.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, databases, and third-party services.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning for reliability and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
