Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Risk professional within Private Wealth Management to identify, assess, monitor and mitigate risk across PWM activities. You will partner with Private Wealth Advisors, client service teams, control partners and stakeholders to align controls, reporting and escalation.

The role emphasizes strong judgment, discretion and proactive process improvement. Expected base pay ranges from 115,000 to 190,000 per year at start.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold Series 7 and Series 63 or 66 within 180 days of hire.
• 7+ years’ experience in financial services, wealth management, and risk fields.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA highly preferred.
• Experience with Ultra High-Net Worth clients / Family Office preferred.
• Strong understanding of investment products across asset classes.
• Outstanding teamwork, relationship-building, and cross-collaboration skills.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Good judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risk across PWM activities.
• Partner with business leaders, advisors, client service teams and stakeholders.
• Lead risk-related audit activities and remediation tracking.
• Prepare materials, coordinate stakeholders, and document key controls.
• Support escalation, reporting, and adherence to policies and regulations.
• Explore automation to improve risk, control, reporting and monitoring processes.
