Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the beauty and health of the grounds and golf course using pesticides and fertilizers.
• Experience in golf course maintenance, including handling pesticides and fertilizers, is preferred; knowledge can be gained through preparation for turf and ornamental licensing.
• Valid driver's license required.

Job Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience with pesticides and fertilizers.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles.
• Ability to use hand-held sprayers.
• Physical ability to walk the property performing duties.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn about pesticides and fertilizers and their proper usage.
• Prepare for and pass the Department of Agriculture’s exams for turf and ornamental licensing.
• Maintain and renew turf and ornamental licenses as required.
• Follow all safety procedures for handling pesticides and fertilizers.
• Organize and maintain chemical storage and records, including usage, quantities, equipment, and weather conditions.
• Monitor property for pest issues, identify problems, and treat accordingly.
• Proficiency with equipment such as hand-held sprayers, self-contained sprayers, and tractor-mounted sprayers.
• Learn to read, interpret, and map pesticide application routes.
