Job summary

Ionbond is hiring a PVD/CVD Coatings Production Technician in Chicago, IL. You will transform customer-owned components for aerospace, automotive, decorative, and industrial use using advanced surface technologies.

A $600 hiring bonus is offered for new team members, with shifts Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 3:00 PM–11:30 PM. You will review orders, prepare parts via blasting, cleaning, stripping, and fixturing, and work with machine operators to load/unload products.

Qualifications

• Background in manufacturing or a similar environment (2+ years preferred).
• Mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting aptitude is a plus.
• Comfort with manufacturing tools and production equipment.
• Strong critical thinking and clear communication.
• Dexterity for careful handling of precision components.
• Ability to read instructions in English and interpret documents as small as 8-point font.
• Comfort sitting and/or standing throughout an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and quality criteria and align tasks to customer specs and standards.
• Prepare parts through blasting, cleaning, stripping, and fixturing with care.
• Collaborate with machine operators; load/unload customer products into equipment.
• De-fixturing batches after processing and perform basic visual inspection.
• Support other production needs and special assignments as required.
