California Faucets is looking to bring on a 1st Shift Machine Operator. This role is based on-site in our Huntington Beach, CA facility. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, full-time from 5:15 am-2:00 pm.
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) vacuum coating machines under the supervision and direction of the Production Manager. This job is responsible for the setup, monitoring, and basic maintenance of PVD coating machines. The position largely entails loading and unloading of machines, basic preventative maintenance, and inputting of parameters into a Windows-based PLC.

The position requires contact with the Production Department, Cleaning Line, and Quality Control.

Under general supervision, assignments are both task-oriented and objective-oriented. Follows established procedures for routine work; receives specific instruction on non-routine problems.
Accountabilities:
After adequate training, the position requires a level of accountability to complete a pre-determined amount of work per shift.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and use hands to finger. The employee is frequently required to stand extended periods of time, for 8 hours or more in a given day; reach with hands and arms below and above shoulder; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist or crawl. The employee may be required to lift/carry 1-50 pounds when necessary. The employee will also need vision abilities to include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
