Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a PVC Machine Operator in Edison, NJ. The role reports to the Shift Supervisor and involves operating a band saw and PVC forming equipment, performing trimming and cutting tasks, and ensuring safe, clean work areas.

The position emphasizes adherence to 5S principles, proper PPE, and timely production reporting. The shift runs 2pm to 10:30pm, with full-time employment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate lift truck and follow safety procedures.
• Strong attention to housekeeping and 5S standards.

Responsibilities

• Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company policies.
• Operates a lift truck or other material handling equipment (must be licensed).
• Performs molding, cutting, trimming, and assembly tasks for PVC fittings as directed.
• Prepares production reports as required and follows supervisor instructions.
• Reports equipment malfunctions or defects to supervisor promptly.
• Cross-trained in multiple areas (300 room, Inline, or Comet Floor Grinder) and assist with blade changes.
