NextEra Energy is seeking a PV Solar/BESS Field Technician II in Cimarron, KS. The role supports operations and maintenance of Battery Energy Storage Systems within the ROI team, focusing on reliability and optimal performance.

The technician will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting while coordinating with operations and construction teams. A valid non-CDL license is required and relocation may be provided for the right candidate.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Valid non-CDL driver's license.
• Preferred: Trade school graduate.
• Licensed Electrician or Master Electrician preferred.
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt preferred.

Position Specific Description

The Battery Technician will play a crucial role in supporting the operations and maintenance of NextEra Energy's Battery Energy Storage Systems. As a member of the Renewable Operations & Integrations (ROI) team, the technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of clean energy systems.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to identify and address any maintenance or performance issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including cleaning panels, replacing faulty components, and performing tests to ensure optimal system performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system failures, utilizing technical knowledge and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with the operations team to implement and execute maintenance plans and procedures.
• Coordinate closely with the construction team during the installation and commissioning of new projects.
• Generate reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment conditions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all work activities.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in BESS technology and maintenance techniques.

Required Qualifications
