Job summary

Audax Group is seeking a Microsoft Purview Data Security Engineer to own day-to-day Purview operations, including data classification, sensitivity labeling, DLP, insider risk, and records retention. You will translate requirements from Cybersecurity, Compliance, and Legal into working policies and tune them as data and workflows evolve.

Qualifications

• Hands on administration of Purview DLP, sensitivity labels, retention, and custom classifiers in a production Microsoft 365 tenant.
• Experience running Purview eDiscovery and Content Search to support investigations.
• PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Graph API for policy automation.
• Knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD) and Exchange Online for security posture.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain custom sensitive information types and label policies for firm content.
• Administer sensitivity labels across SharePoint, Teams, Exchange and OneDrive, including auto labeling.
• Diagnose labeling failures and remap content to ensure correct labeling across devices and services.
• Tune DLP policies, monitor incidents, and act as first contact when policy affects users.
• Operate retention labeling and data discovery to support investigations and compliance.
