Job summary

Talener is seeking a Microsoft Purview Data Security Engineer for a leading private investment firm managing over $11B in assets. The role focuses on administering, optimizing, and expanding Purview across the enterprise.

Based in Boston, MA (on-site four days a week), you will classify data, label sensitivity, implement DLP, and collaborate with cybersecurity, legal, compliance, and IT teams to protect information and enable governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, or data protection experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Purview administration.
• Proven experience with DLP, info protection, sensitivity labels and records management.
• Tech: PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online & Teams

Responsibilities

• Own and shape Microsoft Purview program including managing and optimizing Purview policies and controls
• Work with stakeholders across cybersecurity, legal, compliance and IT
• Lead data protection, regulatory compliance, insider risk & information governance
• Design & maintain sensitivity labels, data classification, and DLP policies
• Support insider risk management investigations and compliance initiatives
• Administer retention policies eDiscovery, audits, and information governance programs
• Automate reporting and admin with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API
• Partner with cybersecurity, legal, compliance, HR and IT teams

We are hiring Microsoft Purview Data Security Engineer for a leading private investment firm with over $11B in assets under management and a long-standing reputation for innovation and growth.

About the Role

The Purview Data Security Engineer will lead the administration, optimization, and expansion of Microsoft Purview across the enterprise. You will be responsible for data classification, sensitivity labeling, data loss prevention, risk management, eDiscovery, records management and security automation. You will have a visible business impact on a collaborative and growing team.

Location

Boston, MA (4 days on-site)

Key Responsibilities

• Own and shape Microsoft Purview program including managing and optimizing Purview policies and controls

The Offer

• $125k-$150k base salary, based on experience
