Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking a Supervisor, Purchasing to source, purchase, and manage inventory for a broad range of materials, supplies, and services across corporate, warehouse, and store operations. The role will execute cost-effective sourcing strategies to ensure right goods from right suppliers at right costs.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2-4 years of experience, with strong MS Office, Teams & SharePoint proficiency and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2-4 years experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams & SharePoint
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Solid verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate potential suppliers to meet company needs
• Lead vendor evaluation and selection and manage relationships
• Conduct financial analysis for sourcing options and least-cost approaches
• Monitor inventory levels and manage replenishment orders
• Coordinate with internal departments to procure materials for projects
• Create purchase orders and ensure timely delivery
• Distribute received materials to stores
• Maintain procurement and activation tracking reports
