Marathon Electric in Wausau seeks a Purchasing Supervisor to lead daily MRP/MRO purchasing activities and supervise Buyers. You will convert material requirements into purchase orders, ensure supplier commitments, and maintain accurate ERP data to support production.

The role collaborates with Planning, Materials, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Finance to prioritize needs, manage shortages, and drive continuous improvement within a hands-on, frontline leadership capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in purchasing or materials in manufacturing.
• Strong ERP/MRP experience with purchase orders and supplier follow-up.
• Experience with KPI tracking and continuous improvement.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily MRP/MRO purchasing activities for Wausau operations.
• Convert MRP requirements into purchase orders and manage open PO accuracy.
• Coordinate with Planning, Materials, Manufacturing to resolve shortages.
• Drive expedited shipments and supplier recovery actions.
• Coach and develop the Purchasing team and maintain daily routines.
• Escalate major supplier or pricing risks to Purchasing Manager.
