Job summary

Interfor in Eatonton, Georgia is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to lead regional purchasing initiatives, drive standardization, and optimize costs. You will manage supplier relationships, purchase orders, and inventory programs while supporting corporate agreements.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in purchasing, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a purchasing role.
• Comfortable using a computerized purchase order system and MS Office.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support regional purchasing initiatives, driving process standardization, cost savings, and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, availability, reliability, and service while supporting corporate purchasing agreements.
• Manage purchase orders, vendor relationships, and inventory programs, including vendor-managed and consignment inventory.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, vendor, and inventory records, while tracking and expediting orders to ensure timely delivery of critical materials.
• Provide excellent service to internal customers, ensure procurement needs are met effectively, and support regional purchasing team members as needed.
